After All, I Gotta Pay for Supperunch

I have a rule. Okay, it's probably not a rule. It's anal-retentiveness, or maybe even old age. I have routines, and things. If I eat something past 2 P.M., I consider my supper spoiled. Late lunches, you might call them. Of course, it kinda depends on what and how much I eat. But generally speaking, if I eat after 2 P.M., there will be no supper. We went to Ellisville, MO, about an hour away, to meet up with my sister and BIL to watch a game my nephew was playing in, and afterwards, we decided to have "lunch." But it was after 2 P.M., so I made it a point to tell the wifey, "Just so you know, this will be our 'dinner.'" Or supperunch. We went to a Mexican restaurant called Vallarta, and I had a combo platter with a chicken enchilada, beef burrito, Spanish rice and refried beans. I forget what the wife had. The bill with tip came to about $51. Not awful. But no supper will be had. Wifey did have a little leftover spaghetti a little bit ago. I MIGHT have some chips or something. But in the meantime I'm up and around and figured, I might as well spend a few minutes on myLot catching up and tooling around because... After all, I gotta pay for my supperunch.

Two responses so far. I am not sure I made one tenth of a cent. I still have work to do.

I sometimes eat my lunch at 8:30 or 9 in the morning; and then I have my dinner at 4 pm.

If you eat after 2pm you can call it snacking. And your wife can call it supper.

@porwest Not if that's all you're eating that day. LOL, and lunch is usually lighter
