Would You Clean Somebody's Wiener if You Got To Ride It Afterwards?

Sorry, that title was my husband's idea. The story is local, in fact about 1/2 mile from my house where the Middletown-Anchorage Fire Department agreed to wash the infamous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in exchange for a ride in the vehicle. Side note: My former husband (now deceased) was a firefighter at this fire station for 27 years. Every year I see an ad wanting to hire someone to drive the Wienermobile and it pays pretty well, but can you imagine trying to navigate that craft? I'll bet it's not easy to drive.

Did I read somewhere that you can spend a night in the Wienermobile? I think it's cool.

Did you know there are 6 of these vehicles that are almost always on the road in the US? Our local news did a blurb on them a few summers ago. They are often at one of our nearby fairs, etc. and sometimes near the U of I for an event. I do see them on I-57 on my endless trips up and down the interstate, quite often. I don't think it would be easy to drive.

I've seen it parked in downtown Louisville many times, but it's been awhile since I seen it last.
