My Mom is a reader , morning and night she like to read a couple of chapters of her book.
A nationwide store used to do a deal of 3 books for £5.
This was a good price as individually the books would be approx £8 or £9
Also Mum either passes the books to me or swaps them with a friend at the caravan site.
We went today and she selected 3 books but the price has now gone up to £7.50
Still great value really....but a 50% increase in just a few weeks !!!

That's a quite big increase.
I must vent.
So individually the books you say would be £8 or £9
So at 3 for £5 they must still be making money
So at £7.50 they are making even more
So I rather doubt if the individual price would ever be as high as £8.
It's a optical illusion to make it seem a better deal

@Ineeddentures This was The Works ….they did away with their loyalty scheme a few months ago, saying they would be able to give their customers a better deal on all of their products ….not sure why that means adding 50% on their prices ….that doesn’t sound like a good deal to me !

New books are expensive here. We mostly pick up books at op shops or garage sales.
