July 1 Update

United States
July 1, 2025 10:50pm CST
Hoping to sleep well tonight. It was July 1, so I got paid and so did my creditors. Then, I ordered some groceries, went for a walk, got some quarters, came home, and did seven loads of laundry. That took me the better part of the afternoon and evening, but I got it all washed, dried, folded, hung up, AND put away. Tomorrow I have one of two more loads I'd like to do (pet bedding and throws [blankets]). I'm hopeful to start those at about 8:00 AM—freeing up the rest of my day for other things. Unsure what I'll do yet. Hoping the Regional Manager comes so I can see about the two bedroom. As much as Nick keeps heading up the stairs when we come back in from outside, I have to think that's a sign that we'll be living in that apartment before we know it. For hours throughout the day, members of the clique were working on jigsaw puzzles. Who does that? Who spends hours and hours and hours doing jigsaw puzzles? It's so weird. The rest of us are convinced it's their way of spying on others. That's why I did my laundry upstairs. They were nowhere near that one, but that apartment I want is. It's right next door.

That's a lot of laundry. I don't know about the jigsaw puzzles. I find them enjoyable. Hope you and Nick have a good day.

I asked a friend. She admits they can be too much, but are also mentally stimulating. She said her mother (who had dementia) would work on them for hours, too.

Yes, it is, but the first five were bedding. I have a king-size bed with a sheet set, two blankets, a quilt, and six pillows.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX It's not too bad. I don't consider the "busy work" I do while the clothes are washing and drying as multitasking, as I don't get too preoccupied to forget the wash.

Thank you. Had trouble getting to sleep last night, then when I finally didd, I was awakened by Facebook Messenger notifications from my 73-year-old cousin, who is often up all night. I did not respond, but that ruined my plans to get the last few loads of laundry done by 8:00 AM. Nick and Henry had me up at 7:00.

I did, and I never got around to those last two loads. Perhaps tomorrow.
