Week of the 4th of July 2025 Pt. 1

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
I know I have been pretty MIA lately. Just haven't had much to share about, and haven't been in a place where I wanted to read/comment on many posts. I have also been sick the past couple days.
It is the week of the 4th now, so I might have some things to share about. We'll see if I actually get up the energy to actually do it.
Monday was when the festivities started off in my town. There was a "Christmas in July" breakfast that morning. They take the money they make from the breakfast to pay to light up the town square during Christmas. We didn't go to that, I know it goes to a good cause but it is 8 dollars per plate.
We did go get some food from one of the food vendors with my mom. I got a hot dog and fries. We may go back once more before they close down on Friday.
We didn't go up to the show Monday night, but we could hear the music from my mom's house. She lives only a few blocks a way.
Then, there were fireworks at dark on Monday. They do a 20 minute long display, pretty impressive.
As for the rest of the days, not sure if we'll go to any of the shows or anything. Hopefully we will go see the parade though.
The photo is from last years parade of one of the horses. They are always nice to see in the parade. What do you think?

They are, that is true.... I am trying but so hard while being sick. I don't want to go up and watch the concert tonight but I know my mom wants to go to this one.

Nope, still sick unfortunately.
Better place, not yet.... maybe if I have good news in about 2 weeks.

@Ineeddentures I sure hope it will be good news....keep hoping but then get let down. Been over a year now.

Glad you like the photo....and our town goes all out for the 4th. I don't know how other places do it...but who else has a 5 day long event? lol

May the Lord bless you with health and strength.
I think I will be taking care of my boyfriend tomorrow. As a combat veteran who has autism, the 4th is hard for him. Screaming children and fireworks drive him up the wall, so finding a quiet place to enjoy the holiday is essential TLC.
