Missed the Stampede

There was an animal stampede, last Friday. While not the hottest day, it was more than warm enough for me, but I wanted to see this event, that morning. The animals are made of papier mache and have been on a world tour and are now in London. The event was to highlight climate change and environmental damage. I took too long to get to the first event and most of the animals were packed up, except for this lonely zebra. They were planned to make their first stampede across Tower Bridge late afternoon, but that was hours away and it was getting all the hotter. I passed through London Bridge Station and saw that instead of the usual piano seen in other stations, there was a Pipe Organ complete with instructions. I wonder if anyone has played it?

Pianos in stations are good. Speaking of Pianos Remember Bobby Crush For some reason I did. How weird is that.. Don't think he could stampede but you never know

Rings a bell. I think he did The Entertainer in the mid-70s, which entered the charts here

What's animal stampede, by the way? I assume it's the same as human stampede. But I am not aware of the background and the culture regarding this. So I am a bit confused and ignorant of the story.

@Ronrybs Oh got it now. But there are a few events and festivities that are new to each other's cultures. And as we talk like this, we get to know each other more.

It is just the name they gave to the event. Since they are basically human powered puppets, it can't be much of an uncontrolled stampede!

A pipe organ sounds much better. Sorry you missed seeing the animals.

If it had been cooler, I'd have stayed. I was very glad to get home later

It needs one of those pits, so it can go up and down as needed!
