Well, the 4th is rapidly approaching. I imagine there will be a throng of people down here for it. Nothing happening as of late though. There are security gates down at the lake that are kept open for the major summer holidays as so many are coming and going. This area is mainly an in state attraction, but sometimes visitors from other states are here as well, usually visiting someone or attending a get together. Does your area get busy around the 4th?

It doesn't.
It used to when we had an American Military Base here
But it closed.
And now we have no Americans here anymore

Well Americans spent lots of money in the town and the town was thriving especially in the 60,s and 70,s
Let's just say it's a bit of a one horse town now.
Americans were always welcome here in Scotland
And then when the Oil came to the north east there were even more Americans
Tens of thousands
So the 4th was big business
And good fun
