Why do we need to charge everything up these days !

Do you remember the good old days when we didn’t need to have thirteen chargers to enable us to go about our daily lives. Now it seems that we can’t survive without charging something up at least once a day …..and they call this progress ! I charged my phone before we went out shopping this morning so that I could use the apps in Lidl and Morrisons. Got home and needed to look up a new doorbell with monitor for Mom and then the laptop says ….battery running low ! Five minutes later it konks out ….had to put that on charge ! Just come to use the iPad , which has been on charge nine hours and it’s still on 65% Give me the good old days …..I’m fed up of charging the ‘ progress ‘ we are said to have made.
