Proud to be an autorickshaw rider

I like to take autorickshaws for short rides and have a few phone number of owners who pick me up and get me back too.
This open vehicle is far from stifling compared to taxis and cars.
I now understand France is having them too and the tourists love to ride in them as they also feel they can breathe fresh air and look arouind
India needs to be proud too as it is here where their journey began
The image is that of the auto rickshaw in France.

@allknowing I am sure it's a Piaggio Ape, we call it calessino in Italy, I do not know how it's called in France.

When you say you should have more does that mean you already have them?

@allknowing There are some here and there but they are generally used as a bit of a novelty for special events etc.

Autorickshaws look great for passengers to have a ride on.

My younger daughter goes to college by auto. She has to book it in the morning everyday and in morning rush, it was an added hassle. Luckily, we found one guy who comes and picks her daily at fixed time. Two girls share the ride and the price. I too enjoy auto rickshaw rides for short distances. Convenient and cheaper than cab.

I had this guy for years but he has now shifted away He served me for years - even buying stuff for me from shops such as vegetables. There are others too but I miss him Occasionally I call him and pay more for the distance he has to travel

@allknowing Hmm...being an Indian I can relate to it. We value that relationship and bond that we develop with people over years.

There is somewhere in the UK has these vehicles too.
