4th of July! Wheee! Just another work day for the Horse.

Are you doing anything special for the 4th of July? I suppose not if you're from India or the Philippines or something.
This year's 4th may be a bit odd for some Americans, as we are dealing with the possibility of being a Fascist Dictatorship, and not a Democracy (or Constitutional Republic,as some prefer), but many will view it as a day for partying and watching some fireworks.
For me, it's just another day of work. I have only a handful of students today, and they are all good students, so hopefully it will be an enjoyable afternoon. When I worked for Department of Corrections, we got time-and-a-half for working on Holidays, but I don't think that's the case with Guitar Center.
Here's a question for those of you who were a bit "naughty" as kids, like I was. Do you remember terms like "M-80"((boom!), "Black Cats" (pow), and...I can't remember...the little light all at once (ladyfingers?) " Sigh
Anyway, are you doing anything special today?

I’ve had lunch, and I’ll go for a walk. I have to fold my laundry at home, and I have one sheet left to wash. I’ll get that done this afternoon.
Then I’ll put my noise-canceling earbuds in for the night….

I remember all of those fireworks and remember when the M-80s were made illegal. Pretty and I don't shoot off any fireworks anymore. I have fun allergic reactions to the smoke they produce. We tend to stay inside, windows closed and a/c running. (I might still have an allergic reaction to the smoke if some gets inside, though. Luckily, I have epi-pens on my dresser if I need one.)
