We have some wild parakeets living locally….I’m sure that there will be a collective name for them but im not sure what it is. Anyway, said parakeets are green in colour. There is usually a couple of dozen flying around together ….they look so beautiful. They are also quite noisy birds….i love to hear them but they do make a racket sometimes. They have just flown passed and were chirping as they went.

I wonder if they are what we call budgerigars. The native ones are green but people breed all sorts of colours now.

@Traceyjayne That'a interesting. I wonder if the parakeets have another name but maybe that is their 'real' name.

The budgies we have here are much smaller than these parakeets.

Some areas are perfect for wild colonies or flocks to house up in. We have some here in the States also.

They are all over here. You may not see them, but they are plenty noisy!
