Sitting here waiting for the fireworks

I have a bout 45 minutes at least to wait though. I am surprised no one else is here other than the guys that are fishing. It is a bit early though. I checked the map and am very close to dike 2 where they are setting them off, so should be a good vantage point..worse comes to worse I will angle my car in another direction.

The ones I specifically went to see see started at 9:20 but there were some all around different locations..didn't expect that n reminded me of when I was in Roanoke, and there were 5 different displays going on. We were staying in a motel on top of a hill and could see for miles.

@Ineeddentures No, it was Roanoke, Virginia.We were taking a break from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lost colonists I have recently read they were assimilated with the tribe down there. They found some fairly conclusive evidence I think.

1585 I think was the first colony
But the second one was the Lost Colony and over 100 English people just sort of vanished. The natives got them yay for the natives

They are fun to watch when they light up the night sky. It was good weather for this time of the year too, usually it is so humid out now.

@snowy22315 My grandchildren find it fun and entertaining. They shouted in jubilation when the fireworks bang and spread their sparkling lights

Day was OK, no complaints..I even got back on the treadmill, so yay me. Fireworks were nice.

Yes, me too I haven't ever seen the whole thing. I am frequently out of town on the 4th.

Yes, I had to go down to the water's edge to view some of them though. It was cool, they had a chair fashioned out of stone..it had a back and everything.

I had to walk down to the water and saw plenty, but when I went back to the car, there were others going on I could see fine.
