Microsoft shutting down in Pakistan

Ahmednagar, India
July 6, 2025 5:20am CST
It's learnt that Microsoft has decided to end its operations in Pakistan. This can be considered a big blow to Pakistan as a big tech giant is leaving the country for the good. The US company operated in the neighboring country for a quarter of a century starting June 2000. No concrete reasons could be known for Microsoft leaving thy country. Jawwad Rehman reveled the development in a LinkedIn post. What do you think could have promoted Microsoft to take this decision?

Definitely. There are even jobs that are indirectly involved or related to the main company. I think that'll be hampered too.

LOL... No no. I'm no more into blogging, though I used to be. Human writing has grown quite challenging and on a mahitey of the occasions, they will say it's computer generated.

Politics (or politicians) is always involved when it comes to such companies. And talking about behind the scene pressure. Well, it's always there.

The very decision of leaving might have been taken after a good amount of deliberation. They might have also contemplated on the fact that there could be people saying please take back your decision. So, let's see what happens.

Even I feel the same. A few people and various post holders of different companies in the world do say that AI will not harm a lot. But reality definitely seems to be something else.

I think this article explains exactly why.
