What's for din? July 6th, 2025

I was going to post earlier, but you know how that goes. Tonight was rib night! I originally planned to make them on the Fourth, but we didn’t get home until about 1 a.m., so we pushed it to tonight instead. I cooked the ribs low and slow in the oven for a couple of hours, then turned up the heat a bit to finish them off. I made cheddar broccoli rice, baked beans, and biscuits to go with it. Everything turned out pretty good! The ribs were mostly bone though, which was a bit of a letdown. So that’s what we had here—what did you have at your place?

I had teriyaki salmon. Walmart came in handy for once.

Yeah. If I have ribs, I want them to be meaty. I rarely cook them since they tend not to ever quite live up to what I expect meatwise. But they are good. Your plate looks quite delicious, I must say. I made braised pork steaks with a fried potato mixture on the side with onions, celery and broccoli.
