Yahoo! It's like my Birthday Rain!

I was born in a very very rainy day. I was told by mother. It has been raining for hours. All the rivers were flooded and raging villages , towns and towns when they roared through the plains. My father told me that trees in the tea estates were submerged under floor water and only their tops were visible. When the flood water had flown down large areas were under silt and sand. So much so that acres of tea bushes got buried under sand. All this account has been passed down to me for obvious reasons. However, when I grew up I got the opportunity to visit and cross all the rivers of our district many times. Teesta , Jaldhaka, Diana, Torsa, Raidak, Sankosh can turn into angry destroyers during rainy season. People living beside these rivers, mainly in plains, have to live in constant fear when sky gods pour down water with unchecked generosity. All these rivers and many more meet the Brahmaputra in Bangladesh. Imagine the havoc they can wreck in Bangladesh! All this weather reminds me of my birthday. People opined saying what this child would be! I look back and can safely say I have not been a big terminator in my life but I have done little things here and there all my life to serve my fellow human beings.
