Do you know what this is? I just learned about it this morning from my daughter, when she saw a man with one nail painted blue. [/b]A Painted Promise to End Violence.[b] It is a global campaign and movement that raises awareness and funds to help end violence against children. It was started by the Australian-based charity YGAP (Y Generation Against Poverty). The founder was inspired after meeting a young girl in Cambodia who had been through severe trauma. Men and supporters of all genders are encouraged to paint one fingernail - just one to represent the 1 in 5 children who experience physical or sexual violence before the age of 18. The single painted nail becomes a symbol and conversation starter. Do you know of this? Will you do this?
