It Was Not Stolen

Before 2016 I didn't have a car. Nor did I have a motorcycle. I had a bicycle. I used to ride my bicycle to cover long distances and go to different places near my town. One morning I went to buy fresh vegetables that were sold half a kilometer from my house. The market was crowded. I left the bicycle near a shop, bought vegetables and came back home. For next two days I didn't go anywhere. On the third day my mother asked me to go to the market and buy some medicines I looked for my bicycle, but it was not at the place where I used to keep it. It was then that I reminded I had left the bicycle at the vegetable market and forgotten to bring it back. The bicycle didn't have a lock. I lost all hopes of getting my bicycle back. I was sure someone must have stolen it. Still I went to the market. My happiness knew no bounds when I found my bicycle at the same place where I had kept it.

It was a pleasant surprise for me. That's the place where bicycles often get stolen. But my bicycle was safe.I don't have words to tell you how amazed and happy I was.

I bet you were more careful about where you left your bicycle after that! I rode my bicycle all over the countryside when I was in my teens and twenties, even though I got my first car when I was 16... I have "lost" my car in an overcrowded parking lot several times and had to walk row by row to find it again... I get really annoyed with myself when that happens.
