I am super excited to expand my little shop.
Currently in my Amazon cart and waiting to see if they go on a deal is:
A screen printing kit
A three in one hat press, it has the pen press with it
A bath bomb starter kit
A soap making starter kit
A hand casting kit
and wait for it.....a 3D Printer!!!
Ok so I am not expecting all of this to go on sale and I know for a fact I will not get these things all in one weekend.
This is just where I want to go though.
I'm working on getting them and a building where people can come and shop. By appointment of course because I am not giving up my EMS career just yet lol.
Everyone has been super supportive and helping me find some sales on some of it or places I can go to get tips.
The great news is I have a lot of fun with everything and there's so much that I don't really have to work a whole lot.
I know that it doesn't sound like it should make sense but to me it does. It's like I don't have to make a crap ton of things, I can make what I like and requests. I like requests better though. At least right now I do lol.
Does anyone else here have a side hustle? Maybe a small business?

I'm wondering if a website wouldn't be a better way to go, over a physical shop.
A lot more cost and effort is involved in a physical shop. Rent, insurance, license, permits, stocking products, utilities, display cases... plus, you have to man the physical store or pay someone to do it.
An online business could sidestep most of those costs.
Unless it's your dream to run a shop, it may be cheaper to skip the building.
I wish you the best best of luck, either way.

I take it you've already researched this.
The information I found must not apply to you then. Good luck!

@Vikingswest1 It's probable. A lot of it depends on your state. Now my caregiving will have to be claimed at the end of the year as a self-employed business because she's used venmo so much to pay me.

The building wouldn't be considered by law a shop. I own the land and therefore can put whatever I want on it. Unless I zone it as commercial I don't have to do any of those permits. I'm not even considered a small business until I sell over $3k and I haven't as of yet. I haven't even broke $2k

I used to do several side hustles including being a published author doing my own marketing and book signings for it. Then I got really sick and now I'm pretty much just retired.

I think I get disheartened by how little promotion I get. If I get a little word of mouth I'm lucky, everything I do is pretty much on Facebook.

I'm hoping but I'm not trying to break us either. If they don't go onsale, I can wait. The only other thing I plan to get I think is a laser engraver. That's just not on amazon though...oh and a freeze dryer but that's more for us than sales though.

No. I haven't done a whole lot online. The most I do with that is Facebook but it works

I just take surveys, etc. Once in a great while I will get a focus group. I hope your items go on sale.
