Rains might spoil our produce

Many farmers' maize is ready for harvesting here in western Kenya yet heavy rains are still pouring day in day out. I am afraid most farmers may experience losses. Some are being forced to harvest oblivious of the fact that there isnt much sun to dry them. The maize might become toxic and of little value!

It happens here too. Crops are spoiled when storms come

There is such a thing as too much rain if it comes at the wrong time.

We need rain, but too much of it can be bad for crops . Too much can also cause serious flooding.

I'm sorry for the farmers. I think ours will probably be about the same because we switch here from too much rain to not enough.

Could it be because of climate change?

Yes I know what you mean This happens quite often in the UK I hope that the rains do not ruin the crops as the.financial implications are not good And it's not good for the reduction of food either
