As if Gen Z should be rewriting the etiquette manuals. Wow, for a generation that thinks they're so "chill" they sure have a lot of opinions. Gen Z are those born approximately between 1997 and 2012.
Here is their list of no-no's:
Don't leave voicemail messages
Don't call without texting first to see if it's okay
Don't use the laughing or crying emojis
Don't use a thumbs-up in a chat or text
Don't wear skinny jeans if you're over 40
Don't part your hair on the side
Don't use two spaces after a period when typing a sentence
Don't use plastic straws
Don't pay with cash
Don't use "gendered" phrases like "man up"
As you can see, they have a lot of issues with the older generations (Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers).
I tell you what. I'm going to do what I want. How about you? What do you think of the Gen Z list of rules?

You remember when someone told you to turn your car off because you were wasting gas? I said then, and I’ll say now, when they pay for my life they can set the rules. But not before.
And someone should tell those kids to mind their manners and respect their elders.

@paigea — I have asthma and if I have to wait somewhere in my car with no shade to park in, the AC will run for the sake of my health.

I'm with you and they can whistle when it comes to "their" rules. I'm just tired of them trying to change every dang thing.

I hate voicemail messages. I can see you called, I'll call back when I can. Unless it's something like a reminder from the dentist. Even then, a text is preferable.
Please text before you call, I've always hated talking on the phone, so a warning is helpful.
I use those emojis. I wonder what the rationale is for that.
I don't care if people wear skinny jeans.
My hair parts where it wants, I have no control
Only 1 space is weird, I'm not even sure what they teach the students regarding that. Anytime I'm working with a student in the classroom, I'm focused on sentence structure and expressing their information fluently.
I agree, don't use plastic straws. I have metal ones to bring. Paper straws are wasteful also.
I haven't met anyone who would say don't pay with cash. My nephews/ grandkids never complain when I give them cash. I rarely use cash.
I never liked or used that phrase "man up".
