Yes, it's finally Friday and I'm super excited about this.
We decided not to go to training tomorrow morning so I get to sleep a little longer....maybe lol.
Honestly I don't know what's going on, July is always so packed.
Today, I'm at Chris's and just working online.
Grandmom says that she feels like she has gravel in her eye but when I looked there's nothing there. She says it's behind her eye. So we flooded her eye with eyedrops and she's resting now. I'll check on her in a few.
We are trying to work in some time to get yard work done. I can't be out there like he can but I'll try. There's a lot of trees and bushes that need to be chopped down. The blueberries are suffocating right now because apparently we got some raspberry seeds in there.
The kiwi plant is not even a kiwi it's this gigantic bush that is just nothing. it's over powering everything. I know there's a snake in there I just don't know what kind. Don't really care either, it needs to die.
There's so much growth by the driveway it's not even funny. My hubby is a little worried about edging around the cats so he's waiting for me for that. I want to plant citronella plants around them to help with the mosquitos. They're horrible. I'm also looking for other natural herbs and things to put there to help. I don't want to hurt my cats lol.
I'm sitting here actually talking to my cousin which is so weird. We've had a rocky road together but we finally started getting along a couple years ago. We even had dinner over her house last time we were back home. It's weird but it's a good weird.
I really hope that we can go up in December like we planned. If we can stay out of the hole we can just use our rescue checks that we get at the end of the year for gas. I want to go home.
There's a lot of computer work to do and the windspinner to get done.
The Veteran Daughter shirt is being picked up today and she had said something about other shirts but hopefully there's not a whole lot of talk because I want to go up and see dad.
Speaking of dad, he is doing really well. He's in positive spirits and I think he is actually looking forward to going to rehab. They say that next week he can go so fingers crossed.
As for the shop, I'm getting things done. I really want to break out my embroiderer too and see if I can get that running right. There's a few things that I want to do and I will eventually get to them. The tumblers for the department's cornhole tournament turned out awesome so I was really happy with that.
I have to get the ball rolling on all of my ideas for the department soon. I got a monkey wrench thrown in my plans last night at the R&R meeting so I have to speed myself up.
I did not get much on Prime deals but I did get the mattress and a rolling backpack. Two things that I wasn't expecting to get but ended up needing. Thanks to my computer work I was able to get some money off of both items so I'm really happy. I can expand the shop anytime now, it didn't need to be right now.
What is everyone up to today?
It's about 10am here and warm. I'm really excited to go up and see dad today.

It certainly is good to hear that your dad is doing well and in good spirits. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you today.
All that yard work sounds like a lot of work and I definitely wouldn't be messing around with the bush with the snake,
I got just a few things on Prime and it's all supposed to come tomorrow. Otherwise, nothing much happening here. Weather is hot and disgusting.

I miss fall already with all this heat. It makes putting the advil on my back hard because it makes it burn like fire.
The yard is a lot of work. usually we start before it gets too high but dad kind of just happened and then with my husband's job we fell behind.
Dad is in very good spirits. We're hoping that he keeps it up. I know he wants to be home but he needs some mobility first.

@JordanLader this is the first house I've lived in that doesn't have a big yard. I certainly know how much work it takes to keep the yard in good shape.
Hopefully your dads good spirits will help speed up his recovery and his determination to get his mobility back when he goes back to rehab.

@Marilynda1225 Lol that's kind of funny because this is the first house we've had with so much acreage.
Fingers crossed. :)
