Lifeguards with the Flager Ocean Beach Rescue team answered an emergency call on Sunday July 6 when a deer was seen in the Atlantic Ocean. One lifeguard swam toward the deer who was struggling to stay afloat. The lifeguard placed the deer on a rescue board and took the deer to the shore. Other lifeguards and a firefighter from Flagler Beach took the deer to the shore where the deer was released in the woods nearby safe and sound. How the deer get into the ocean and how long was in the ocean is anybody's guess. Link is clickorlando.com/news/local/202...

It might have fallen into the ocean from somewhere else. Glad the deer was rescued.

I think every animal has the ability to swim. Just recently I saw in the FB. There was animal game wrestling a cow in the enclosed fence near the seashore. The cow got out from the fence and escaped toward the shore. The cow swam away.

I have heard stories of horses and dogs being able to swim in water.

@Deepizzaguy That's true. Dogs though they're not trained to swim but through their instinct they know how to swim. Even elephants they do swim.

How in the world did the deer get into the Atlantic Ocean? Glad they rescued it, I wonder if the deer got flooded off land,

Good question how the deer wound up in the ocean in the first place.

I reckon that Deers like the water. It might have seen the water and decided to go for a swim
