Is paid vacation the best part of your job?

We get paid for waking up and going to work to do something even when we dont like those jobs but who doesnt want that free money attached to paid vacation? You go on holiday and get paid for doing so. I dont think all jobs come with such offer but its always a great thing that motivates one to stick to the job.

I think it is important to always have a good work/life balance. As I have always said, I don't live to go to work. I go to work to live. Unfortunately, even when people get paid vacations, and nearly everyone in the United States does, people still aren't getting what I would call a "proper" work/life balance. In other words, the goal of a paycheck should not be simply to survive. It should be to accomplish something such as ending work. Too often we are told you must work into your 60s and 70s, but that's because most people don't save or invest their money. If people keep more of their paychecks and save and invest it, eventually their money can make all the money they need to live, and you can take a permanent vacation and REALLY take advantage of this great gift of life we have all been given. That take is a bit outside the scope of your post, but I think still fits well within it.
What's the ULTIMATE paid vacation? Retirement, of course. The sooner you can retire, the better.

that means proper work-life balance is more important than paid vacation. Thanks for sharing.

I used to get 10 weeks paid holiday every year.
It was great.
I got a job as a lifeguard in a school swimming pool and they had 10 weeks holiday every year
I got double wages for working weekends , so I did a few extra shifts

We should enjoy it for it's for our benefits. In our place, there's a law granting an employee a paid vacation and they have the option to convert it to cash.

Do you want to know what the best part of my job was?
Retiring.
Remember, when you are working your butt off for an employer and being the team player, going the extra mile for your place...
If you were to die today, they would have you replaced by tomorrow.
Make sure your job is enjoyable, it seems less like work that way.

Paid vacation is one of the best job perks out there. Definitely one of those things that makes the daily grind feel a little more worth it.
