Before I Shut The Store

It is 8.30 p.m here. One hour back I was going to shut my shop as I usually do. I had only one customer left.
I gave him what he bought and he left.
But just when I was about to shut the store, two ladies entered. They bought some things, too.
They left and, as I heaved a sigh of relief, an old gentleman entered in.
Before I finally shut the store, I had to entertain as many as nine customers. And the ninth one had a long list of commodities he had to buy.
Now I'm free. I'm leaving to see my friends.

Yes, I had a good business that day, but I was very tired, completely.exhausted. I couldn't refuse the customers either.

Fortunately I have a lot of customers right from day one when my started this business. Naturally I have a busy schedule everyday. I've begun shutting my shop right at 7 p.m. Mine is the only grocery in our area, the next is one and a half kms.away. So customers prefer to visit my store.

Every shopkeeper feels so happy when they have customers at their shop, but I was very tired then and wanted to relax. I wanted to hang out with my friends.
Everyday I manage my store from morning to evening. Customers come pouring in and I get exhausted by evening.

The last customer had a function in his house and he had come a distant locality.
I was very very tired, but the customers suddenly began pouring in. I couldn't refuse to entertain them.

So you sold a lot of stuff you would not have sold had you shut the store earlier
