It was my birthday on Thursday 10th July. I had a travel mug and a bookmark both with cats on from my Mum and Syd, although he had nothing to do with it. I also had £100 from them, and an extra £25 for lunch out on Friday. I also had a card. I had some pens, some pencils and a embroidery kit from Dave, Ali and the kids, except I don't do embroidery. I also had a card from them. On the front it said, "If I give you a load of Lego for your birthday, don't make a big thing out of it!"
I also had some presents off my friend Dawn from Church. She gave me loads of stuff, including perfume, seeds, a necklace and a bracelet, a tiny torch, a compact mirror, a case with partitions in it which I don't know what it's for, some nivea cream (useful) some glasses wipes and some bookmarks which were in a card!
Then there were also the presents to self. I got myself some vocal scores to Now Is The Month Of Maying, Swing Long Sweet Chariot, If Ye Love Me, and Lord, For Thy Tender Mercies Sake. I also got a book of the vocal scores to Phantom Of The Opera. I got a book on how to read music too! I also got myself a book called The History Of Cardiff's Suburbs. I got myself a couple of A4 display books. And I got myself a set of these things to paint with, they're like brushes but they have more solid tips to them, but I forget what they are called. I also got a couple of books about how to cope with depression.
I was hoping Wynne Evans would sing Happy Birthday to me on his radio show, but he never seems to see my texts. Fortunately, a friend on Facebook WhatsApped him, twice actually, and he saw that and he sang Happy Birthday to me and wished me a Happy Birthday, so I was happy!
On Friday I went shopping down town. I got some photos printed and posted a letter. I bought some gauche paints from The Works and then I went for my birthday lunch. I went to the Jungle Street Kitchen and had Salmon Catch and a Firefly Detox drink in a bottle, Kiwi, lime and mint flavour. I had a glass of ice cubes with that. It was delicious.
After my birthday lunch I went up Beacon Street to find Morrisons ready for singing at the Fuse festival on Sunday with the Lichfield Tuneless Choir. It was very hot, but I had a bottle of water with me, so I had a swig of that.
When I'd found Morrisons, I turned round and retraced my steps, then set off for home.
What have you lot been getting up to this past week?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Happy belated birthday!! Sounds like you had a great one :)
Not much here except going to and from work and the hospital for my dad. We're making progress so it's all upward from here. The Fire Department and EMS keeps me hopping too but I love it.

Thank you very much.
I did have a great day. I was made up when Wynne sang Happy Birthday to me. After he sang Happy Birthday to me he said, have a lovely, lovely day won't you sweetheart?
I hope your dad will be OK.
Why's that?

@sharonelton Dad is making progress every day and we're all glad to see it. They're predicting he can go back to rehab next week and from there I'm sure he'll make it his mission to be home shortly after. He's very strong willed when he wants to be.
The Fire Department I'm trying to make some changes in the organization of our public outreach which is a lot of work. I've put a lot into it. Plus the shifts I get from EMS and trying to go farther and get my Advanced EMT license.

@JordanLader That's great to hear. How's he doing now?
That's sounds like a challenge. I hope you can achieve that.

Thank you very much.
They are vocal scores so I can practise my singing when I'm not at the Palace Singers choir.
