Why don’t tv presenters behave themselves !

I won’t name names so to people outside the Uk, this may not mean very much…. There is a cookery programme on tv with two male presenters. They have been presenting the programme for several years. Apparently, one of the presenters has made several remarks to several ladies of a very unwelcome kind ….over several years. We are going back over many years but this has only come to light in recent months. Big whoo haa about it and he has been sacked. I’m staying out of if I believe it, why it wasn’t reported at the time, if it’s true ….of course he says it’s all wrong. Now the other presenter has had the sack as they are saying that in 2017 or 2018 he made a racist remark. He says he does not remember this and he doesn’t think it happened. I guess you could say ….there’s no smoke without fire ….and therefore something must have happened or been said. Whilst I say that presenters are human and we can all make mistakes ….the difference is, they are on tv, and as such they are always under the spotlight. Don’t do or say the wrong things if you are not prepared to face the consequences ! Just because you are well known does not mean you can behave badly ! Likewise, if something happens people shouldn’t wait years before reporting it. Make sure you have proof if you are going to complain.

MasterChef John Torode Gregg Wallace There , named but not shamed. now I'm waiting to see what Marcus Waring has been up to, as well as Monica Gilleteface. I was on acid once and she had a gargoyle head. I lied, I was on acid a lot. Wallace and Torode must be laughing all the way to the bank with this But how dare the BBC get all high and mighty about this when they employed Saville and knew what he was up to for years. See Kirsty Wark, what a pathetic specimen she turned out to be - an advocate for strong independent women who sat on this for 13 years and just didn't shut loud enough about the wrongdoing Of course, she had to protect her high BBC Salary. I hope Wallace and Torode go to Channel 4 and get bigger and better. Class acts on MasterChef, both of them One more thing If Wallace had really basically exposed himself Infront of a woman sat in a chair, Would the police not have been involved

@ineeddentures If everyone at the BBC were to be sacked for saying the wrong thing there wouldn’t be many left.

@Traceyjayne Wallace might be a little bit naughty. Torode is cleverly naughty So what. I am sick fed up of the BBC sacking all the good presenters. Bring back Lineker.

@traceyjayne I think some TV presenters, actors, politicians feel quite entitled and they should never be put on the pedestal that the public put them on. Bin men are far more useful to society. But I also think that making lewd comments and passing racist comments are just the current most popular sins that people like to hate. In a few years it will be something else.

I agree that a lot of them feel entitled …i also think people jump on complaining bandwagons ….even if it is years after something has apparently happened. We really do live in a snowflake society.

Going back a few years you could get away with a lot more than you can now.
