They may sleep on the pavement but what they cannot do without is a mobile Our coconut climber was seen talking on the mobile while he was up there on the coconut tree The gardener will have his mobile in his pocket attending to calls while he is busy working The maid does the same but I do not encourage them to use the mobile while they are at work The three year old said hello to me the other day Her mother lets her use the mobile. Cannot imagine life without a mobile Image credit:

With people no longer having landlines for the most part, it seems necessary be proficient in using a cell phone. That being said, people are often too enamored with the cell phone, and can neglect their responsibilities. I remember a medical assistant was supposed to be putting numbing drops in my eyes every minute for ten minutes before my eye surgery. She was on her phone the whole time, and I kept having to remind her!

@allknowing I think it should be, you’re right, and if her boss had known what she was doing I think that medical assistant would have been in real trouble.

It's difficult to think that people today are unaware of its application. Everybody has one, sometimes more, and it's the device that keeps them connected to their loved ones. It's an essential tool for entertainment, education, and communication. These days, we use the new phone to connect with loved ones and the new TV to watch movies and get entertained. It could be your finance manager, secretary, or a variety of other roles. Smart phones have advanced to the point where they are now a single device, surpassing many of the things we used separately.

It's hard to live without a mobile phone. Landlines are mostly gone from the US now so people need a way to contact doctors and family when needed. Although I don't approve of handing a child a mobile phone to entertain them while the parents are working, that is happening more and more in the US... So yes, sometimes a young child may talk to us while taking the phone to a parent... Hopefully, the young child will talk to us while taking the phone to a parent. I've had a child greet me and then hang up the phone before. That's as frustrating as getting an answering machine that isn't set up or isn't set up correctly.

There is more misuse of phones specially among the illiterate. If they do not want to talk they will just not answer.

@DaddyEvil I will give you an example Our gardener has gone back to his native place. I called him if he woudl come and that his salary will be increased We have had a couple of to and fro calls The last call I made was that he would be accommodated at a place close to ours and he has not replied. Now tell me what do I make of it? He has to just say yes or no.
