Did I do the right thing?

I had ordered for eclairs and found two packets a bit stale I reported and got a refund These packets have been languishing in the fridge and I was thinking of just discarding them But looking at those 120 eclairs going to the dust bin did not appeal to me. I checked with the maid if she would want them and warned her to try eating just one and if she found something wrong she should consign them to the dust bin She happily accepted them but now I am worried. What if she breaks the rule and eats many or even distributes them to others without telling them they should just try eating one and see if they are ok but not more than one I had eaten one and nothing happened to me. I am worried
