Street food skewers - a memory

While living in the city there was a particular place where we would get to see hawkers squatted on the road working on the skewers. We only had to point out at the skewers and they would work on them That smoke that emanated from the coal was an added attraction. They would simmer those skewers till done. Once done they would pull out the kebabs and place them on fresh leaves There were benches along side and eating them hot was so satisfying It is yers since I have come across these Image credit:

During summer we have this kind of food prepared in the parks where there are benches and tables. I like even more the smell of the burning wood than the meat.

@allknowing - The neighbor who has the garden, under our apartment, makes those using a wood barbecue every Sunday.
