Football vs American Football.

This is outrageous! Mr. Trump has had the FIFA World Cup in his office for a few months, and he refused to give it to the FIFA officials, so they made a new one.
He put himself in the award picture, and now he wants to write an Executive Order to change the name of Soccer to Football.
What about the NFL? What do they say about that? What will we call football in the United States? Football with the weird shaped ball? Let's Huddle? Run Ball?

We would call it American football. Just like the rest of the world calls it.

I think that the NFL is not going to like the change in nomenclature. They have a long tradition of saying just Football, that the addition of American Football all the time is going to be a tongue twister and may cause more backlash against the current GOP governement. Why change things just to change? Will it add to the popularity of soccer to call it football? I don't think so. It will just cause confusion all around.

Football was born in England in 1863, a few years before America. Why not to choose another name immediately?

Yes, and this denigration of American Football would cause a loss of people who might want to do to the games, kids who would want to play. Why do something that is not the real thing?

We call soccer football and I think it was called football here long before it was called soccer anyway.

And we don't listen to Trump because he is not out friend like he is your friend
