Hello everyone. Happy to be back here! Today's discussion is all about the small wins we experience in our daily life, the kind of wins that make us feel good about ourselves from within, irrespective of how small they might seem. The positive impact they leaves us with is truly rewarding and definitely worth celebrating. So, what kind of small win have I experienced recently? To know, please continue reading.  Plaiting my hair or even someone's else is something I enjoy. Having said that, I'm not someone who knows a lot of hairstyles. I'm simply familiar with the normal three-strand braid, ponytail, fishtail braid and a couple of other simple braids. And, a French braid looks really great on me. Even a few of my friends have complimented me for the same. Yet, I really couldn't get the knack of it, even after watching multiple tutorials. I've tried it multiple times, yet no results.  However, yesterday when I tried it on my mom's hair, it was a eureka moment for me. I really felt like, "I did it". This time, I didn't watch any videos. I simply Googled and found a clear step-by-step instruction, which made feel how simple it actually was. It really gave me a dopamine hit and actually kindled within me an interest to learn more such hairstyles. It may sound so simple, but for me, this small win is something huge. So, the next step is, I'm going to try French braid on my hair. I know, difficult at first, but with practice I know, I eventually can. What kind of small win has made you feel happy recently? Share and inspire, no matter how small it is. Image credit: Google

That’s fantastic! I can see why you were happy about that. I guess my small win was going somewhere last Thursday I had needed to go, but was too nervous to do so. I was really proud of myself for just doing it.

Yes. It's my long time desire to do french braid and when I randomly tried it yesterday, the result amazed me. That's why I'm feeling so happy about it. I'm proud of you too for doing what you wished to do despite your nervousness. The reward of leaving our comfort zone is worth celebrating.

@Teekaaa I used to have braces, now I have to wear a retainer to keep them straight. Just in my sleep

What a great win for you! I was eating peanuts the other day. Salted and roasted, in the shell. In one bowl of peanuts, I found four peanuts that had three nuts inside. Very small win but a win is a win.

That indeed is a neat job It looks nice. The small joy I got was when Peppie our pet cat started eating the dry fish feed We could not get fresh fish for him and he refused this for a few days but today he ate well

My small win was that last week someone gave me a tray of 18 cupcakes, beautifully decorated. I got home and the neighbours who look after our house when we are out or away had their grandkids round. We would not have eaten the cakes so we took them to the neighbours ….as a thank you for what they do for us. It was nice that I could thank them, and that they and the grandkids got a treat, and that the cupcakes didn’t go to waste.

I had no idea people from India referred to their mother as " mom" I must remember that.

I referred as mom just for people here to understand. My mother tongue is Tamil, so I call my mom as "Amma" :)
