Giving thanks no limit

Today's scripture reading is taken from Doctrine and Covenants 78:19. And it reads "And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more." As what the Bible says in Thessalonians 5:18 , "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." That's in everything we should give thanks no matter what.

You're right. Some happy people are ungrateful but thankful people are happy.

We should always be thankful, because there are always others less fortunate.

Gratefulness is shown by people who are blessed. Giving thanks to what you receive either big or small is a sign of a well-mannered person.

We should give thanks is a very basic thing even parents teach their children. The visualization and meditation masters call it "showing gratitude". And believe me, gratitude helps in unimaginable ways.

@Nakitakona Thank you, but I believe the Holy Bible is the only place we find all of God's Words.

The Doctrine and Covenants is a collection of divine revelations and inspired declarations given for the establishment and regulation of the kingdom of God on the earth in the last days. Although most of the sections are directed to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the messages, warnings, and exhortations are for the benefit of all mankind and contain an invitation to all people everywhere to hear the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ, speaking to them for their temporal well-being and their everlasting salvation. Most of the revelations in this compilation were received through Joseph Smith Jr., the first prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Others were issued through some of his successors in the Presidency

Everything carries some type of a blessing in it for us too, and if we can see that blessing, we will be thankful for it too. Every black cloud has its silver lining too, as they say.

@Nakitakona Yes, when we feel very bad, we can still look outside, and see nature, still working, and so be grateful, that ultimately, God is still in control too.

That makes us to hope for better if not the best when you are downtrodden or frustrated because of our weaknesses.
