These Are The Supplements My Orthopedist Wants Me To Take

These are the three things my doctor recommended to help my hip. While I don't want to be taking so many pills a day (I take some Rx meds) I feel like I'll give them a try and see if they help before dismissing it altogether. Kroger had a Buy One, Get One Free sale. I guess I'll explore gummy or other forms of these meds if they pan out. Do you take any of these supplements? What do you think of them?

@LooeyVille it seems like that as we age in life we get swamped in every pill under the sun.

Of these three, the only one I take is the fish oil.

I feel the same like you. But since these are suggested by the doctor, so I can't say more. If you are not sure about it, perhaps you can also go to see another doctor to ask for a professional suggestions.

The Turmeric really helped my dad after his knee surgery.

I take two of the three. I use krill oil instead of fish oil. I read that krill oil had better benefits than fish oil, so I switched. I have used glucosamine chondroitin for several years and haven't noticed any remarkable improvement but my joint pain has diminished or at least hasn't increased. I have been meaning to try the Tumeric but haven't yet. I also try to target foods that deliver the same benefits as the supplements. I will continue with the supplements. My doctors approve of their use in my case.

@looeyville Sorry, can’t help you there. I take no supplements. Can’t believe I’ve made it all the way to 67 with minimum medication. Just antibiotics for chest infections. Everyone else I know of my age seems to rattle with so many pills inside them. One day it’s sure to catch up with me.
