There are no land taxis or buses in Venice except water buses, water taxis and gondolas There is a network of canals - connecting small islands and over 400 bridges One can call these canals as trasnportation routes. The only land transport is to connect the main land to the airport.and beyond I have visited Venice and have travelled by a water bus But I did not opt for a gondola ride as I found the water dirty. lmage credit:

I have not been to Venice yet. It's interesting to imagine to take the water bues, water taxis and gondolas. I can only try the boat or water bike in the park. I found water bike is easy and relaxing compare to the boat. I wonder it may be also a nice try in Venice.

It will be romantic if I can ride on this boat with a special someone in the future.

I remember riding the water bus (we call it "vaporetto") in Venice. We also walked a lot, up and down those many bridges. It's exhausting.
