What's for din? July 17th, 2025

I don't think I have done one of these in a couple days but to be fair the last few nights I have eaten salads of some sort. So lets get back in the groove. Tonight I made chicken alfredo and garlic bread. I cheated a little bit since I am in a fair amount of pain from the sunburn and sun poisioning I have. So I used a Stouffer's Family Meal and threw it in the oven for an hour and some change and then used New York Texas Toast from the freezer section for garlic bread. The whole meal cost $16.45 and fed all five of us tonight. So that's $3.29 per person, and everyone was happy. Not too shabby in my book. So that's what went on the table here. What did you have for dinner?

That sounds like a crowd pleaser. I had popcorn. A very sweet person bought me a lot of popcorn, and I’m trying to wade through it. I mean, it’s a LOT of popcorn.

Is it different flavors of popcorn, or all one kind?

@thislittlepennyearns Just one. To be fair, it’s better than movie popcorn to me, and I think movie popcorn is really good. It’s called Circus Time popcorn, and you can get it at Walmart.

@AmbiePam I think I've bought that for the life before. I don't really like popcorn.

I had steam fish and rice. By the way according to a old wife myth that I heard of, dipping the sunburnt part with milk will help to relief the pain.

That amount is slightly less than ?1500. And feeding 5 people is quite reasonable. Even our bill reaches the same amount of we are 4 to 6 people.
