...these past few days in my city. I cannot control this kind of weather. We need to adjust and deal with it. Regardless, if it rains, I prefer to sleep all day long or have a movie marathon. There is still the beauty of having a rainy season. Although I always feel like I'm pulling my leg if I have to work despite the dreaded weather. What about you, guys? Do you like rainy season? Perhaps there is a typhoon coming from Philippines and therefore it's raining so much in your side and soon it will be my side. I don't think it's a very bad thing alhough it means I won't have outdoor activies in the weekend. At least it shall be cooler a bit.

@Shavkat We were lucky. In my city there was a heavy rain for a short time in Friday night. After that, nothing bad happened.

In fact, we had a strong typhoon. Unlike the other places in my country, my city always has monsoon rains. I cannot do anything about it but continue adjusting myself.

You said it right. We can also relate to work. We can work even if there is no machine around us.

I guess same here in my place since there is a storm heading towards your place right now. I do not know if we have storm signal in my place but the weather is gloomy all day and classes were already suspended in many places in my place.

@Shavkat You know, in Manila, just a few minutes of heavy rain can easily flood one area, prompting the local government to declare a suspension of classes. I heard that in your area, a large boulder of rock just fell on a house, crushing their pet dog and a car parked in front of it.

I heard that some local areas in our country stopped having the rainy weather. In Baguio City, we still have monsoon rain. My niece is complaining because she still needs to go to school.

I don’t really just because here the rainy season is often accompanied by tornadoes. If there is no tornado involved I don’t mind unless it goes on so long it starts to flood the area. My city is very susceptible to flooding.

That is not a cool thing to deal with tornadoes. I just prefer to have a strong typhoon. In lowland areas here, they are also prone to flooding, which I experienced a couple of times before. Although I prefer not to live in coastal areas.

At some point, I am with you. It needs to rain, especially in farmland areas here. If it does not rain, we cannot have some crops to eat, especially the rice.

@Shavkat Oh yes. Too much rain or too little rain will hurt the corps.

We don't have a "rainy season" in the US... We get rain all year long or snow and ice in the winter. Right now we've been having storms and rain every day for the last week. This weekend is supposed to be sunny and hot, though. (Hot here means temps in the 90s [32C or a little higher] plus high humidity every day.) I like opening the curtains in my bedroom at night when we have thunderstorms and watching the lightning flash across the skies. I can see that parts of the Philippines (San Jose Del Monte Bulacan) is getting more than 1 or 2 inches (25 to50 mm or more) of rain/storms every day this week. (My friend Sam lives there and I keep an eye on his weather. I talked with his parents on Fb a little while ago and they said everything is okay but waterlogged there. No flooding yet.) I don't like going outside if there is a lot of rain, snow or ice. When I had to work, I had to go no matter what the weather was doing, though. I usually read or watch YT videos during bad weather.

In lowland areas here, especially the coastal areas, they are still experiencing floods. Most parts of Bulacan in the Philippines are in this state up to this day. I experienced seeing this kind of situation before, and it was not fun at all.

@Shavkat My friends said they're on a hill so are safe from flooding. I hope they aren't just telling me that to keep me from worrying about them.

I can feel your sentiment about it. Even in summer, we still experience random monsoon rains. I prefer to have the cool weather because of this, rather than dealing with the hot season in lowland areas of my country. Although I can deal with it.

The rain pattern is queer and odd It pours and then stops for the sun to shine and this goes on throughut the day andhow it behaves in the night I would not know. I am a home body and love to stay in

During rainy seasons, I prefer to be at home. I just need to go out if it is really needed. Right now, it is still raining, and I do not want to go out. Regardless, I should go out to buy something for the family. It might be troublesome, but I can enjoy walking around and enjoy the fun of having the rains pouring. Since I do not have the choice.

At the time that I wrote this epistle of mine, the city suspended the classes. I think my niece was so glad that it did.

Rainy season is good especially for farmers. But excessive rains aren't good when they cause floods.

You said the right thing. Farms need to be watered by this wet season. However, strong typhoons are not being preferred by them.

@Shavkat That's right especially when the palay is ready to be harvested. They suffer more losses than profits.
