Facebook announcement

I did plan to take a one day leave today after attending a 3-day stay in seminar away from home. It was raining very hard while we were travelling back home. I already suspected that there would be classes suspension and I was right. There was already a message posted in our group chat for the announcement. Good that I can file my leave on Monday so I can take full rest Hope everyone is safe

I've bookmarked the weather channel for some friends in the Philippines. I checked in with them a little while ago and college classes are suspended in their area, too. 1 to 2 inches of rain every day is a LOT! I hope you and your family stay safe from the storms and flooding.

So far our place is not prone to flood but I still worry a lot to those people who live in low areas, I hope they are safe

@cherigucchi Yes, exactly the reason I check in with them when you are having typhoons in the Philippines.

Probably it is because of the typhoon. I heard there is a typhoon coming from Phillipines and they may have an effect here. At least it will bring us heavy rains. That's not a very bad thing so far. At least the temperature shall be cooler after that.

@cherigucchi Before I went off work, it rained heavily here. But then it's clear and cooler. My husband and I even went out for a walk after dinner

@youless Right at this moment it is not comfortable to go out this weekend. Heavy rains suddenly fall.

My hometown is experiencing light rain from a tropical disturbance that is passing nearby which postponed my relatives from going to the food bank on Friday,

I've heard that my place is also subject to suspension.I suppose news spreads more quickly these days. I recall that in the past, we had to wait for radio announcements from government agencies. However, the announcement is now accelerated by text and other messaging apps. Being able to take today off and extend that until Monday must have been a blessing in disguise.
