Happy Saturday...this week's update

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 10 AM but seems like early morning as the clouds make it dark. I have my doctor's appointment in the noon and I will start in some time. Nothing concerning, it's just the regular annual diabetic thorough check up that I have pushed for few months due to my surgery coming in between. I will be busy for coming two weeks with the same...the thorough check has few things including eye check up and I don't want to do all in a single weekend as it exhausts me. For the week that passed, it was a bit packed though not hectic. I stayed a bit longer at school for assessments of few who are lined up for admission in this year. We can accommodate only two more special needs for now and we have to screen the ones that can be benefited from our current resources and curriculum. We chose two autistic children of 6 and 8 respectively. One is non verbal with apraxia and needs a complete one to one attention. One blind child could have been easily accommodated if we had someone who knows braille or has experience with blind students. He seemed so good. Felt sad to say No to others as our current resource can handle only this much. But that's the best that we can do. One parent wants to come to my therapy sessions at home to begin with. The child is 4.7 years and unable to fit in any school. I have agreed and given him a slot everyday for an hour. He starts coming Monday at 3. Let's see how it goes. For others, I suggested few more places that I know could benefit them. I hope that helps them. I had very little time to be online in this week. I peeped in here to clear notifications, but could not do much. I spent some time on other site that I had not visited in months. A great achievement was to walk to work and come back. I couldn't get up in the early morning this week and missed my morning walks. My body refused to be out of bed till 6:30 and I respected that. That extra one hour in bed was really helpful. This walk to school and back took 15 minutes each, and that took care of my exercise. Earlier I could reach school in 7 minutes. But now with moderate speed after surgery that's what I took this week. Yay!! That's feels like an accomplishment. Hope all is well in your corner.
