Happy Sunday morning....

Good morning mylotters from this side of the planet. It's 9 AM here and I see sun trying to peep out of the clouds. No rain since early morning here. And clouds seem to be moving away. So, I am hopeful for a sunny Sunday at least for some part of the day. Keeping fingers crossed. Nothing much planned for the Sunday. I would have liked to stay indoors the whole day and just get some rest doing some bare minimal things around. But then my younger daughter's college has kept a meeting for PPOC ( Parent's point of Contact). And I have to go to attend it. That's a Sunday bummer. I am the PPOC for my daughter. My daughter and husband will be at home. Good that the meeting is only one and half hours long. It starts at 11:30 and ends at 1. I should be back home by lunch time. I am having a bit of discomfort in my throat from yesterday, feeling a bit under weather. I don't want another sickness coming my way. Enjoying the soothing ginger tea now. Will get ready in a while and start. Will be here for a while chatting with you Hope that all is well in your myLot corner and you are enjoying your weekend.

That's one of the extra responsibilities of a parent to attend a school meeting. I have a granddaughter who lives with us and I attend to homeroom PTA Meeting.

It was my daughter's college meeting. And they would do this once in a year before start of a new year. So, I guess that one working sunday is okay for them. Any way, the teachers and students don't come on that day. The college director and few admin people are there. I work in school..we have more parents meetings. In my case as I work with special needs children and I have even more frequently, almost once every month. We do it on working days after school and even online for convenience. It must be nice to attend PTA for your granddaughter.

It's another rainy day here. The rain has reduced in frequency and intensity, but not completely stopped. I am okay, just took two days off to rest. I won't like to pass on the germs to others.

Not actually sick but having an irritating throat. Home remedies are working. Didn't go to meeting yesterday. Requested them to allow my husband for this one. They agreed.. I have taken two days off to rest. Don't want others to catch the infection. I am feeling much better today. Thank you. Hope that the weekend was good and you have a nice week ahead.

@arunima25 That's good to hear. You're also thinking about other people despite your discomfort. Take care and have a good rest.

Oh dear that is a no no here in the UK. Normally parents meet the school teachers in the evening after the school day finishes. We did have to meet them on a Saturday for my daughters admission. She had to prepare & present a project. Parents were there as observers & only after the presentation were we permitted to ask questions. I nearly fell off my chair with her presentation. It was so interesting & I did not know she knew so much. She has three children now & for the last two weeks has had to attend meetings every day for her kids. She told me she is exhausted attending every meeting. They have now broken up for 6 weeks! Schools are closed for summer.

i think Arunimaji sometimes honey is good for throat. Honey with tulsi leaves. But once throat gets some virus then you have to do warm gargling. it is better not to take anti biotics

I do hope you're not coming down with something. Having another illness would be the last thing you'd want.
