It's raining..but not much of a problem

tarpaulin
Philippines
July 21, 2025 3:46am CST
This afternoon we recently change tarpaulin on our tent. The old one had withered and with holes on them. we don't have leaks no more. But one of or roof gutters got replaced, thanks to our neighbor construction workers. During their earlier construction, they had to step on our roof which is already broken. They fixed it later, save us the expense. Now, my dogs have shelter when ever there is rain. Even my room don't have leaks anymore. Sadly, Gutters in the kitchen hasn't been replaced and the old kitchen cabinet had been removed today because it's close to falling. This is the only side of the house that still has leaks. In the end, we are still blessed compare to other people who horribly experience floods and displacement from their homes. Have a nice day

I'm glad most of your leaks have been fixed already. I know the storms you're having in the Philippines must be a pain in the tush. One long-time friend is a Filipino and the weather report for his part of the Philippines shows they're getting up to almost 4 inches/101 mm of rain every day. His family live in Bulacan and I worry about their area flooding. I'm glad your dogs have a roof over their heads again. I know I wouldn't want to be constantly getting rained on and possibly get sick from being wet all the time.

Hello @DaddyEvil Some people lives in the lower part of the country. Not only that they have either poor water pipe distribution system and less disciplined people when it comes to loitering.

Unfortunately, with constant rain the leak has found it's way to another side of my room, near my laptop .

I have cleaned my room that flood came yesterday. It's tiring day for me. I cleaned my room all day and I help my housemates in a little household chores in our house. I hope that the heavy rains will stop soon.

You are so right about that. I nearly fainted, when I saw the floods in Texas, a whole house was floating. It was unbelievable.

That really tells you that climate change is real @popciclecold I bet they weren't expecting that. Here, we never learned from our past mistakes. We keep getting floods every where.
