Ugh, I mean the flood.
Yesterday, we went out without the rain. The typhoon gone but we have the southwest monsoon. I didn't expect, erase that. No one expected that at around 9 in the morning, it will rain heavily continuously that causes flooding in most major roads where we should be.
It was a first time for my daughter to experience this, not for me. I've been through this way back. BUT, not this much flood, ugh. Even the frontage of the university hospital is flooded. It took us almost 3.5 hours before we able to be at our destination.

That is terrible flooding.
I believe that the town where we live which floods easily has been hit with heavy rain..
I sure hope it's not flooded
I hope your house has not been flooded Raquel

@rakski It kind of makes sense now that she told us that her 3-year old son got baptized.
Although I know she meant in a church, she wanted it done there so that her family could be there.
I hope that you and she, and her family, manage through this bad weather.

I suppose your daughter should start preparing herself for more instances of flooding, as she will now be in that area frequently and may need to deal with these occurrences, especially during the wet season when everything seems chaotic. The suspension of classes and work in government offices and some private companies is part of the experience. Consider this a learning opportunity for her, something that can make her a stronger student despite the challenges. Stay cautious out there, as unexpected things can always happen. My son went to work today, but I believe he’s safe since his workplace is just a few blocks from home..

@rakski Perhaps part of her education came from her adventures with you in that corner of the bustling metropolis. Hopefully, she picked up some valuable lessons while leaping from one puddle to another like a determined frog. At this rate, she'll be a certified puddle-jumping expert when she navigates that area solo in the future!

What was funny but good thing that happened yesterday was the school ID of my daughter. Since it bears the university name, we were able to go through the entrance only employees can take since it was flooded on the main entrance.
Also, the dorm of my daughter is just a minute a way from the college building, apparently away from the corner of Pedro Gil and Taft Ave which floods easily

It worries me seeing the water so high in places you need to go.
I'm glad you got there and home again safely.

@rakski I'm glad, too. And glad you finally found a dorm for her.

@DaddyEvil, yes, seeing those flooded roads affirmed us in our decision to let her go to the dorm

Floods on a road is bad news indeed.

That's so bad. Obviously this typhoon has big effect on your side. This typhoon didn't really attack us and the rain was even not serious. Even when we were ready to it but at the end nothing serious happened. I hope the flood will be gone in your side soon.
