The SIM was the culprit

I had no Internet for three days as the Dongle was just flickering My Technican was onholiday and could not attend to my complaint He came yesterday afternoon and spent well over a couple of hours to find out what was keeping me from connecting to the Internet. He got the answer. It was the SIM. It had to be replaced and for that we had to visit the Airtel showroom. . He took it as a challenge and he drove me to that place. The job was done. This morning I was able to connect. I appreciate my Technician that he took it as a challenge and got the problem sorted out.

Great job by the tech, he would have diagnosed almost everything to find out the problem.

@Mshafeeq, When it took two hours, it shows that he played around trying to guess things. Looks like it was trial and error while diagnosing the problem. But the good thing is that ultimately the problem was solved.

At times finding fault itself is a challenge, especially if the chances of problems happening are multiple. But good that your techie did the job for you

@allknowing That always happens. Even if there are experienced technicians, they still keep learning new things. It's we who at times don't know if they already knew it and using their experience, or they are doing something for the first time.

It seems he is a very knowledgeable tech person to rely on. He was very sure of his diagnosis, and true enough, he solved your problem. I guess SIMs may have their own length of service to do. Once in a while you should have it replaced to get better service from your provider.

@allknowingI think that's what most technicians do to ensure their work is accurate. Others who simply recommend solutions without going through a trial-and-error process might misdiagnose the issue and provide the wrong solution.

He used the trial and error method and finally solved the problem.

That must have been such a relief after being without internet for three days! It’s amazing how much we rely on connectivity now.. for work, communication, even peace of mind.
