So earlier this month I posted that Black Sabbath, a heavy metal group from Birmingham, England, were playing their last ever gig in Birmingham ….where it all started for them.
Lead singer Ozzy Osbourne had been suffering with Parkinson’s for several years.
Sadly today , the music business has lost a legend.
Ozzy passed away today.
Their music will be played around the world and there will be many tributes to the band and Ozzy.
He lived life to the full, and left behind great songs.
Ozzy Osbourne ….R.I.P
THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC

That's sad. I hadn't heard until now.
I was just a teen when I saw Black Sabbath. It was the Black and Blue tour in the US. Blue Oyster Cult opened for them.
I saw him one other time when he was touring solo. I always thought it was funny that I could understand him when he was singing but as soon as he started talking, I couldn't understand a word he said.
Rest in Peace Ozzy.

I had never seen him live….he only just made the recent concert. He sat in a chair….well, throne ….it was clear he was really poorly.

I saw. He looked bad. I wasn't the huge fan I was back in 1980, but he always held a place in my memories.

Sad news about Ozzy. Sharon & his family must be devastated as well as his fans.

This one shocked me a bit, admittedly. I mean, I knew he had a hard lifestyle and was in poor health. Even the Parkinson's thing. He was strapped to his throne during his farewell concert. But I didn't think he was this close to the edge.
He will be greatly missed.
