@allknowing I'm hoping he's not far away. Cats are very independent and don't want people to meddle in their affairs because they believe they can take care of themselves. However, you must take him to a veterinarian if you find him.

That does sound concerning. Have you checked closets, under the bed, or other quiet spots he might hide in?

When the maid comes I will ask her to look under the bed But our bed is low.
