I switched on the car radio this morning to listen to the news and an excited young woman was being interviewed about her feelings on the English women’s football team winning some game. Now excited young women are indeed worthy of my time, football not so much, so I was about to switch off the radio when the woman declared that “at last women footballers are getting the recognisation that they deserve. Now it’s unfair to mock, and the young woman was indeed beside herself with delight, but “recognisation”? Really?

I hate football of any kind whether played by men or women. It does nothing for me & goes over my head. However that being said l am pleased of the inclusiveness of women now which has normally been exclusively in the mens domain. Like you l am not bothered one way or another!
