Kitties Squirrels and Birds Oh My

What a Day. Fed all the "Kids". Talked to my friend Mary. A few minutes after Gen Hospital, Thunder Storm. Lightening was very close..thunder was almost continuous. It finally quit. I went out to the garage and was watching the Squirrels and Birds eating. Then the Birds flew away and the squirrels went up into the trees. I suspected there must be a cat eating under the lean-to. I went around the corner and there was Blacky. I went and got a can of wet food, and he almost had it eaten before I could throw the can away. The boy was Hungry! I went back to the garage, and a few minutes later, Blacky came around the corner and walked into the garage. I put my hand out to pet him and he came to me. He let me pet him, and sat right next to my walker for a while, then the Birds and Squirrels came back to eat, and he sat there watching them eat. He looked like he was tensing up and a little wiggle. I reached down and scratched his head and told him NO you can't touch the Birds or the Squirrels. Not allowed. He calmed down and I scratched him a little longer. He even stayed when Tom came out to the garage. Tom looked it up...Squirrels can run 20mph and Cats can run 30mph. But Blacky is not in good shape and Old..don't think he could actually catch a squirrel..Tom went inside, and I needed to get inside and take care of the kitchen. I came back and looked out the door to see if he stayed, but Blacky was gone. I fixed BBQ Chicken Thighs with a Veggie Pan for supper. After eating I went back to the garage for a Smoke...Blacky came to the door of the garage whining. I went and took him some Hard Food, and told him he only gets wet food once a day. He meowed a little, and I changed his water dish and he hushed. The Squirrels were in a tizzy today. They chased each other around the 2 oak trees and the feeders. At one time we had Nutty, Buddy, one I call Sneaky, and 2 other squirrels I hadn't seen in a while...Full House today. Lots of Chickadees today as well. Saw a young male Cardinal, and his parents.
