What's for din? July 30th, 2025

I will admit the pictures in tonight's What's for din? Collage are not the greatest. I was rushed taking them because there were four hungry teenage boys and a hungrier 12 year old. So I snapped quick pictures. I promise it tasted way better than it looks. If you cannot tell by the pictures, tonight was pulled pork night. I made nearly five pounds of pulled pork by cooking it in the crock pot on low for about seven hours. Added some more BBQ sauce after I "pulled" it with that fancy shredder gadget. We didn't have buns, but we had bread and that was just as good. I made tater-tots in the air fryer to go with the sammiches. So that's what was for dinner tonight. What did you have at your house?

We had Brats on bread. Very fast, and super easy clean up! And good too! Pulled BQ pork is always GOOD!

Still looks good to me. I always use a pork butt roast and never add any "liquid" to it other than I will put the BBQ sauce in right away along with onions and bell peppers with a few other seasonings and then take it out and pull it. I like the "marinated" meat that's infused with the sauce as it cooks. Usually I don't need any extra BBQ sauce when I serve it, but I usually put just a little extra on anyway. I love pulled pork.

almost five pound pork loin, one cup of water, an assload of seasonings and bbq sauce, then I put more sauce on it when I pull it.

I don't think I've ever made baked spaghetti.

fancy shredder gadget...I like that. Dinner last night was at church. There was homemade split pea soup, corned beef and cabbage (which I didn't take any of, not a fan), spinach salad, beans, jasmine rice, and red velvet cake--plus some other pastries.

@thislittlepennyearns Yup--it's especially nice when I get to take home leftovers. I got to bring home a partial loaf of jalapeƱo bread that nearly got thrown in the garbage, too.
