Today is August 1st so I received the 3rd disbursement of my summer savings. It is always fun to check the account and see a nice big deposit. I always find it amusing that I get more $$ during the summer when I'm not working than during the school year. (of course that isn't necessarily true since I was earning so much extra with the tutoring and coverages last year)
I get 1 more payment on the 15th. Then it is back to the regular pay schedule. There are 3 pays in September. Typically the 3rd one in a month is the "big" one with no voluntary deductions (medical, pension, union dues, disability, etc) but this year they are making it the 1st one. That is helpful for those who don't do summer savings or who may otherwise be feeling stretched thin.

Sounds like you’ve got a good rhythm with your summer savings! It’s always nice when those disbursements show up unexpectedly, especially when it feels like a bonus while you’re not actively working. The shift in the pay schedule for September is definitely a helpful move, especially for people who rely on that extra bump without deductions. It’s good to see employers thinking ahead to help ease financial stress, even in small ways. Looks like you've got a solid financial plan in place, at least for the moment! How do you usually manage your savings through the year?

Lucky you I still have to wait until August 9, when my SS arrives and I can order groceries.
