Thrilling multi purpose benches.

I've just sat for a while on a bench outside the library to watch the world go by. Little by little I realised that this was no ordinary bench. First of all an inordinate number of people stopped to talk to me, and it was more than just a passing hello. I then noticed a sign declaring that this bench was a chatty bench, and if you sit on it you are signalling to passers by that you are up for a chat. That's great if you're a chatty person - I'm not. Not only is it a bench to help the sitter make friends, but it has a little pad on it on which you can set your phone for it to charge. The bench also has wi-fi and other accoutrements that baffle the technophobe in me. What a versatile little bench it is.
