What was your Friday like?

We got up around eight this morning and cleaned the truck out to get ready for town. Then we headed off to help a friend move her daughter. We were told it would be “maybe two loads.” Ha. Famous last words. It was four loads. FOUR. By the last one, I think the truck was starting to judge us. By the time we finished, it was about four in the afternoon. We had planned to celebrate our survival with Wendy’s, but after that marathon moving session, the thought of sitting in a drive-thru felt like running a second marathon. So we grabbed dinner at Walmart and headed home instead. (I already told you what we had in another post, so imagine something between “delicious” and “questionable life choices.”) After that, I scrolled through some notifications and mostly just played games on my phone, because my body said “Nope, we’re done adulting today.” We were going to go to the lake tomorrow with the kid and his friends, but they all went home. So now the plan is to sleep in and just putter around the house like a couple of exhausted retirees. What did you do today? Hopefully it involved less heavy lifting and more air conditioning.
